Retail Council of Canada is a great organization. They focus on the Canadian retail industry’s growth and largely reputation management surrounding retail.
A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure to photograph corporate portraits for The RCC. Their Ottawa team hired me to come in to their office on Clarence St. and what a great location they have! A nice open office space and great brick walls outside that can give a much more modern look to photographing people, not just for corporate work but in general.
It goes without saying, I much prefer the modern approach to any kind of business photography. Business photos aren’t about photographing on plain walls or the usual grey or black backdrops anymore. Our clients want something fresh and new! Something that will excite them. A corporate portrait that is suitable for all their platforms from their website to LinkedIn profiles and other social media. Professional and inviting company branding images are the real demand.
When I say ‘’corporate portraits’’, I do really mean ‘’personal branding portraits.’’ I use the term ‘’corporate’’ just for short-hand or easier understanding. But that’s what it is essentially - a personal branding portrait session. In any case, your picture is your brand’s image. So invest in you today!
